What does Care First Connections do?

We introduce individuals and families to experienced, self-employed live-in carers across the UK. Our aim is to help you find someone who suits your support needs and lifestyle, so you can remain safe and independent in the comfort of your own home.

Are you a care provider?

No. We are not a care provider and are not regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We do not employ carers or manage care services. Instead, we act as an introduction service, connecting clients with independent carers who offer live-in support.

Do you carry out background checks on carers?

Yes. Every carer in our network holds an enhanced DBS certificate and has verified references. We also take the time to understand each carer’s experience, approach, and personality before recommending them to a client.

How does the matching process work?

We take the time to understand your care needs, preferences, and routine. Based on this, we introduce you to one or more carers we believe would be a good fit. You’ll have the opportunity to speak with them before deciding whether to move forward.

Who manages the carer once they’re placed?

All carers we introduce are self-employed. This means they work directly for the client (or their representative), and you manage the day-to-day relationship, tasks, and scheduling with them.

Can carers assist with personal care?

Yes, many of the carers we introduce have experience supporting clients with personal care, mobility, and medication reminders. However, since we are not a regulated provider, this support is arranged directly between you and the carer, and it is their responsibility to work within their own professional scope.

What happens if things don’t work out?

If you feel the carer isn’t the right fit, just let us know. We’ll be happy to introduce an alternative from our network, based on your updated preferences or feedback.

Is there a minimum length for live-in care arrangements?

In most cases, the minimum duration is one week. We also support ongoing and long-term placements. Let us know what you need, and we’ll do our best to help.

Do you cover all areas of the UK?

Yes - we help introduce live-in carers to clients across England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

Can I speak to someone before deciding?

Absolutely. We offer a no-obligation call to talk through your situation, answer your questions, and explain how we work. We’re always happy to help.
